Creation of task maps

Implement a differentiated approach to conducting field operations and take into account the features of each field

One of the key elements of implementing precision farming is a differentiated approach to operations. Taking into account the features of each field — relief, agrochemical composition and type of soil, factual yield and other nuances and allows to form a plan for each operation in the form of a task map for agricultural machinery.

Basic sources of data for task maps include:

  • Scanning of soil structure

  • Field relief

  • Performance maps

  • Agrochemical analysis of the field

  • Yield map

  • NDVI map of crops

  • Soil density analysis

  • Maps of waterlogged areas

Differentiated loosening aims to guarantee favorable conditions for the development of the root system of plants, and also prevents excessive consumption of fuel during tillage.

Application of variable-rate sowing technology allows to achieve maximum yield in productive areas and to reduce the use of seed material in less fertile areas.

Variable-rate application of fertilizers makes it possible to compensate for the lack of nutrients in depleted areas of the field and to achieve maximum yield in fertile zones.

Variable-rate application of pesticides, for example, desiccation, makes it possible to save spendinds on plant protection products and reduce the negative impact of agrochemicals on plants.

The differentiated approach is aimed at improving the efficiency of the following operations:

    Soil scanning with TopSoil Mapper or EM-38 scanners makes it possible to identify excessive compaction in the field and create a task map for differential loosening.

    Analysis of the movement of machinery on the field from GPS monitoring systems makes it possible to determine areas on the field which are most affected, and create a task map for carrying out differentiated deep loosening.

    Soil sampling and a general agrochemical analysis of the field allows creating a task map for fertilizer application and variable application rates for different fields, depending on the level of their supply with micro- and macroelements necessary for the crop.

    Application of liquid fertilizers during sowing using Precision Planting systems (FurrowJet, Conceal) makes it possible to provide crops with starter nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers. The vApplyHD module allows to control the application rate and enables variable-rate application of fertilizers.

    The heterogeneity of the vegetation according to NDVI and leaf diagnostics is the basis for a task map for nitrogen fertilization. Differentiated application ensures optimization of fertilizer application and activation of plant growth in low-performance areas.

    The creation of a task map for differentiated sowing can be based on the historical data of the productivity of the field. It involves the maximum use of the potential of productive plots and the saving of inputs (seeds, CPPs) on less productive ones.

    Having collected the data from drones on the weediness of the field, it is necessary to determine the key areas of damage and create a task map for differentiated application of insurance herbicides. This will make it possible to optimize the costs of CPPs and ensure the proper development of the crop (without suppression).

    In order to create a task map for CPP application by drones, it is necessary to measure the field with RTK accuracy, as well as to digitize the presence of obstacles. After that, a route is created for the operation, taking into account the application rate and the necessary refueling/recharging.
